The Flares Encore of Foot Stompin Hits LP 1962 Press PR 73001 Soul VG+ Vinyl
Released in 1962 on Press Records, Encore of Foot Stompin Hits is a high energy artifact of the early 1960s dance craze era. Following the success of their hit Foot Stompin, this album features The Flares delivering a sequence of rhythm and blues numbers designed for the dance floor. The tracklist includes lively versions of The Twist, Doing The Hully Gully, and Doing The Watusi, all characterized by the groups tight vocal harmonies and a driving backbeat. This LP captures the transition from doo wop to the more rhythmic soul sound that would dominate the decade, making it a significant piece for collectors of early sixties R&B and dance music history. This copy is in Very Good Plus condition, presenting well with minimal wear and a clean playback for a record of this vintage.
